Lexi Leaf is a visionary artist, born and raised in South Dakota, currently living in the Hieroglyphic mountains of Arizona.
Her work is rooted in a deep love and reverence for nature and the subtle energies that infuse all existence. In her acrylic paintings, bold color palettes unveil quiet, unseen, dreamlike magic. For Lexi, the canvas is a place to practice inner listening and intuitive channeling, a meditative time to get out of your own way and let the divine move through her brush.
After studying Fine Art at Scottsdale Community College in 2013, Lexi spent the following years exploring a wide range of painting techniques while also immersing herself in the study of healing arts, yoga and qigong, which helped deepen her own creative process.
Lexi enjoys incorporating techniques such as glazing, grisaille, layering, and luminous color blending to create ethereal light and color with her paintings.
Currently, Lexi is a resident artist at Castle Hot Springs Resort, where she teaches plein air painting classes and exhibits her work inspired by the desert landscape.
Lexi also uses her art in service of community, donating pieces and hosting painting classes to support local fundraisers such as the Billion Agave Project, Diamond Joe’s Animal Sanctuary. She whole heartedly believes that creativity is a powerful force for healing, connection, and positive change.
